England Star at The Park

Kent and England star Lydia Greenway came to present the awards at the junior end-of-season Presentation Evening last Friday.

After talking us through her early career with Hayes and Kent she then spoke about her wonder year in 2009: a World Cup win in Australia, a 20/20 World Cup win in England, the Ashes retained and an ODI thrashing of Australia (4-0), the County Championship with Kent and a win in the National Premier League Club Final for Hayes!!

The Sibton juniors were thrilled to meet her and to find her so approachable. They were also pleased to get their hands on the 20/20 Word Cup which she had brought down with her specially for the occasion. Lydia's appearance was the icing on the cake of a thoroughly enjoyable, successful and well-attended evening.
