2nd's V Orpington

Not much to say really with this one, just a few words about us in the field.

We bowled well and were initally pretty reasonable in the field, drop catches again didnt help and our heads dropped big time. We all know the reasons why our heads dropped and it was very difficult, but well done to all for getting on with it.

We restricted them to 212 for 6 of 50, meersie bowled well picking up 3, guy bowled well however his last over and a bit were dispatched due to injury and he could not bowl again. It was not a sam deck at all, but he bowled well and was unlucky beating the bat numerous times. Basically we did not have enough bowling and it was a real struggle, it was without a shadow of a doubt a shah wicket and he would have picked up loads. Still he was not playing, payney was used and bowled ok, picked up a wicket.

 

It was good to see all players mixing with the oppo, particulary after the tensions we had at ours, they are a good bunch and made us very welcome so thanks to Orpington for that. We must knuckle down next week, Ashford at home and its all to play for, with I imagine all kent league games rained off.
