What a lot of rain we've had. It's been 10 years and the pumping system we installed isn't really working as it should so we're pumping the water away as and when trying to keep it off the square. Need the trees to break out and the grass to start growing. Nature is so much better than power and machines when it comes to getting rid of water

You can see all the plans for the new cricket and hockey club development on the Cheriton Road site on the UK Planning applications website here. You need to enter the planning application number Y10/0075/SH.

You can even comment if you get over there this week and your comments will be including in the planning process.

The Division 2 Champions trophies, both of them.  2009 was a season to remember.

The Annual Dinner Dance was honoured by a large party of friends and HPB associates on the President's table and two cups and flags representing the club's biggest ever haul in a single season.

An excellent meal and a great evening enjoyed by all lingered into the wee small hours and tested the Etchinghill Golf Club licence.

Steve Hobbs, our cricket captain, tested out his new open mike ventriloquist routine with a very lifelike, shoulder-mounted model of Smudger and once he learns not to smirk for 30 seconds after each joke, the act will go far, we think.

Sibton Park A represented the Folkestone Area in the Kent Indoor 6-a-side finals day at the St Lawrence ground indoor cricket centre yesterday.

Unfortunately The Park side came up against the holders of the competition Canterbury who made light work of Sibton’s bowling attack racking up 158-0 batting first in their 12 overs. No balls, dropped catches and overthrows didn’t help matters either.
